Day 1 Arrival in Interlaken/Grindelwald

Upon your arrival in Interlaken or Grindelwald by train via the Swiss Border or the international airport, meet a Tripplanners representative and transfer to the hotel.

On reaching the hotel, complete the check-in formalities and then proceed to your room to rest.

Day 2 Excursion to Jungfraujoch

In the morning, head out of the hotel and transfer to the railway station to board the train to Jungfraujoch.

On reaching Jungfraujoch, step into a paradise of snow and soaring peaks. You can capture enthralling sights of Aletsch – the largest glacier in the Alps – from an aptly placed view point.

After spending some time here, return to the hotel for a good night's sleep.

Day 3 Interlaken/Grindelwald to Zermatt

After freshening up, travel to the railway station and board a train to Zermatt.

On reaching Zermatt, transfer to the hotel, check-in and stay for the night

Day 4 Excursion to Gornergrat

Today, go on an excursion to Gornergrat on the cog wheel railway – famed to be the steepest such railroad in the world.

The ride begins at an altitude of about 5300 feet and takes you to over 10000 feet above sea level. This journey takes a little over half an hour, wherein the train climbs about 4800 feet. It takes you through alpine forests, bridges, tunnels and rocky ravines, giving you an insight into the Swiss landscape.

As you reach Gornergrat, pleasing views of the sky-piercing Matterhorn Mountain and snow-clad peaks of the Monte Rosa massif greet you. From here, you can also see Gorner – one of the largest glaciers in the Alps and the mighty Mont Blanc – the highest mountain in Europe.

After some exciting time here, return to the hotel in Zermatt and enjoy a refreshing sleep.

Day 5 Departure from Zermatt

Post checking-out from the hotel, transfer to the Swiss border or city airport for your onward journey.
